Medical Treatment Visa

Non-O MT Visa (Medical Treatment)

A visa for medical treatment in Thailand, issued to those traveling for healthcare including fertility treatment and IVF.

Length of stay 90 days, extendable up to 1 year in-country through the Thai Immigration Bureau
Accompanying family Up to 3 direct family members (spouse and unmarried children)
Financial proof Savings or income of at least 800,000 THB per person (or equivalent in foreign currency)
Health insurance Coverage of at least 3,000,000 THB (~$100,000 USD) for the entire length of stay
Supporting letter WFC and partner clinics will issue a Treatment Plan Letter to attach to your visa application

Online consultation & visa application

Video call with a specialist to evaluate your case, build a treatment plan, and submit your Non-O MT visa with the clinic's supporting letter

Weeks 3–4

Arrival in Thailand & ovarian stimulation

Arrive in Bangkok, meet the doctor for a baseline exam, and begin ovarian stimulation with hormone injections

Egg retrieval & fertilization

Egg retrieval (oocyte pickup) under sedation, followed by fertilization in the lab via ICSI or IVF as recommended

Weeks 6–7

Embryo culture + PGT

Embryos are cultured for 5–6 days, with preimplantation genetic testing (PGT-A/PGT-M) if your doctor recommends it

Week 8

Embryo transfer

Embryo transfer into the uterus takes about 15 minutes. Rest, then return 10–14 days later for a pregnancy test
